Lessons at Home

Call, email or text me today to set up a time!

With my private lessons, you can learn from the comfort of your own home.

I will come to you so you don't have to worry about being somewhere else during your busy schedule. Lessons are available in 30 and 60 minute lengths - pricing is as follows:

30 Minutes: $35
60 Minutes: $60

Typically lessons take place once per week however if you'd like them more frequently we can do that as well, just ask!

Attendance Policy

  • Students must participate in at least 3/4 lessons per month.

  • If you cancel within 24 hours of your lesson you are to pay for that lesson upon the next one. Exceptions are: Emergencies, sudden illness and weather.

  • Should I cancel a lesson it will not be counted against you nor will you be expected to pay for it.

  • Lessons are payable via cash or check.

  • Invoices available upon request on a monthly basis.

  • Makeups available upon request but not guaranteed.

I want the best for my students - if there are inconsistent lessons then it is limiting their growth as musicians. I want to see them flourish into mature musicians and the best way for that is diligence, practice and weekly lessons where we can focus on progression, not perfection.

What happens during your first lesson?

First

We get to meet each other. We'll go over any history of music making you have, evaluate where you're at and get going from there. You'll also hear a bit about me and hopefully get a sense for how much I enjoy teaching.

THEN

It's time to play! Get out that instrument and let's tune it up. Whether it's school or NYSSMA music, or you're learning for the first time I promise every lesson, yes even the first, will be fun and engaing.

Lastly

I'll assign you some homework. I know it's the dreaded "H" word however I can't just let you go without having a goal in mind for next lesson. I'll make sure you know how to pack up your instrument properly and see you at the next one!
